ALL CREATION PRAISES AND WORSHIPS HIM

Can I pray for you in any way? Send any prayer requests to OurChristianWalk.com.

In Christ, Mark

The scriptures. May God bless the reading of His holy word.

Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth, burst into jubilant song with music; make music to the Lord with the harp, with the harp and the sound of singing, with trumpets and the blast of the ram’s horn — shout for joy before the Lord, the King.

Let the sea resound, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it. Let the rivers clap their hands, let the mountains sing together for joy; let them sing before the Lord, for He comes to judge the earth. He will judge the world in righteousness and the peoples with equity.

Psalm 98:4-9

This ends this reading from God's holy word. Thanks be to God.

Let the sea resound let every knee bow down
We will praise You, we will praise You
Let every tongue confess Of Your righteousness
We will praise You

Let the mountains ring with praises to our King
We will worship
Let the skies proclaim what Your hands have made
We will worship

Chorus
Let all nature sing
Let the earth rejoice
We will resonate, resonate Your glory
Let all living things
Praise You with one voice
We will resonate, resonate Your glory

Let the rocks cry out
Let the children shout
We will worship We will worship

Let the waters roar
Praise You forevermore
We will worship You

Chorus
Let all nature sing
Let the earth rejoice
We will resonate, resonate Your glory
Let all living things
Praise You with one voice
We will resonate, resonate Your glory

Let songs of joy, fill the air
Your praises echo everywhere
From oceans deep, to the sky
Let all things praise You Lord most High
Lord Most High

Chorus
Let all living things
Praise You with one voice
We will resonate, resonate Your glory
Let all nature sing
Let the earth rejoice
We will resonate, resonate Your glory

The following lyrics are from a classic praise and worship song called “Resonate” by the group Sonicflood (listen here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kLzXPwAW8UQ). They speak with amazing imagery of how all things in creation sing praise to the One who made them, resonating His glory to all the earth.

The seas resound and the mountains ring. The skies proclaim, the rocks cry out, and the waters roar.

Every knee bows down and every tongue confesses. All living things praise the Lord Most High, the Maker of heaven and earth with one voice.

O if only world could really be like this.

You get a sense the psalmist who wrote the 98th Psalm was a predecessor of the one who wrote the lyrics to this song. Look at the words of our scripture passage:

Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth, burst into jubilant song with music; make music to the Lord with the harp, with the harp and the sound of singing, with trumpets and the blast of the ram’s horn — shout for joy before the Lord, the King.

Let the sea resound, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it. Let the rivers clap their hands, let the mountains sing together for joy; let them sing before the Lord, for He comes to judge the earth. He will judge the world in righteousness and the peoples with equity.

Do you see the similarities?

Both are centered on song and praise. And in both, humanity and nature are partnered together in worshiping God the Creator. In the psalm:

All the earth will shout for joy and burst into jubilant song.

The sea will resound and everything in it.

The rivers will clap their hands, providing rhythm to nature’s musical composition.

The mountains will sing together for joy.

All unto the God who rules and judges the world in justice and righteousness.

As we draw into the spirit of worship in preparation for Sunday, let us keep in mind that we do so joining not just our fellow brothers and sisters but also all creation in praising and singing glories to God Almighty, the only One worthy of our honor and adoration.

Amen.

In Christ,

Mark
