In the beginning, there was God. That’s it.
Everything has a starting place and when you trace your way back to the Architect of creation as we know it, you find God at the drawing table, first designing and then constructing everything in the heavens and earth through His almighty power.
I don’t know about you but I marvel, not just at the vastness of God’s creation work but the intricacy as well. I stand in awe of the variety of the flora and fauna, their respective distinctive features, and how these created things hold their own special place and purpose within the framework of God’s life design.
Do a little research and you find that there well over eight million species of animals and plants in the world today and the number grows every year as new discoveries are made, particularly in the insect and deep sea creature categories.
Look to the heavens and here’s what is known.
It’s estimated that there are 100 million stars in the Milky Way galaxy alone, the galaxy where you find earth and its solar system. Now consider that the Milky Way is just one of millions of galaxies in the heavens and you can quickly see how it’s impossible for a mere human to comprehend the magnitude of God’s creative work, a creative work that was conceived by a mind that has no rival, the mind of our amazing Lord.
Indeed, unlike the imperfect intellects of mankind, our amazing Lord has a perfect mind. People of the world need and seek wise counsel to ensure they are doing the right things but God needs no one to advise Him. He is above all and superior in every way to anything else in creation.
In other words, no created thing is greater than the Creator, the God who is our amazing Lord.
This is good news for all of us, not just for today but every day. For we don’t need to weigh one source of potential help against another. There is zero need to go through the time consuming process of pondering which option is the best to go with. All we need to do is turn to God and place our full trust in Him. He will always lead us in the way He wants us to go to accomplish His purposes.
No mind is better. No counsel is wiser.
Bring all your life decisions before the One who created such an unbelievably complex creation and did so perfectly. I’m pretty sure He can design your life into a masterpiece as well if you allow Him to.
